Today's POTD comes from the latest wedding invitation! Mike's little brother is getting married in 3.5 weeks! Whoooo hooooo! We could not be more excited for Jesse and Brittney! Aren't they just the cutest! Nothing like adding another girl to the family!!!! I love it!

As you know I was trying to collect all 30 of the mini beanie babies, but this is pretty much how far I got. I came down stairs to find Memphis had pulled every single TY tag off and suddenly I wasn't so up for the challenge. Which is better, the last thing we need to Happy Meals for every meal! LOL!

Nothing like breaking out old toys. This road was Chase's but a favorite toy among all of us kids. I let Memphis play with it and she loved it. She kept crying when she would break the over pass! She then took it apart and used the ramps as slides.

Tonight Damien pulled this towel from the stove and started rubbing the side of his face with it while I was doing the dishes. I looked down and couldn't help but just laugh. Could my little man be tired??? (since that is what he does with his blankets when you lay him down) He is SO easy to put to bed. Sweet sweet boy. He'll be 1 in a week in a half! Where does the time go???

Today Memphis fell asleep really early so she woke up around 11:30 pm, Walked down the stairs and said "hi" in the cutest voice ever! She has been obsessed with this protein bars in the cupboard and I just keep taking them away, so tonight I finally just opened it up and let her have it. It was making me laugh... so I took a picture. I hope it was everything she dreamed it to be. My little health nut! Ha ha ha!!!

I actually started this salad yesterday... it's a little time consuming. This is one of those things I LOVE TO MAKE!!!! I can't claim it as my own since I got the recipe from my sister. Not only do I love making it, but it just looks cool and tends to always be a great crowd pleaser!

So many have already heard the story... but I was making a jello salad JUST like this(only blue) for my cousin Lauren's graduation party and I went into labor with Memphis. I made it on "bed rest"!!! Shhhh!!!! Anyway, I was sad that I didn't get to go and no one got to eat my salad. :) That being said... that turkey girl who fights me every night on going to bed was totally worth it!

Tonight I had a date with Ruby! Pedicures, shopping and dinner! I love getting pedicures. We came here and I made haystacks. They are like one of my top 5 dinners now. It's so easy and it takes SO GOOD!

So Mike has about 224 boxes full of baseball, basketball and football cards and this week he pulled them out and started sorting through them. Quite honestly I had no idea he had that many!!! I think he counted over 200 Michael Jordan cards alone!!!!! So the 224 boxes might be a bit of an exaggeration but not by much... let me tell you!!! He came across this Derek Jeter rookie card and we laughed and laughed. I took this picture to pass on to my friend Amy... who intends to marry Mr. Jeter. Being the huge Yankee fans that we're NOT... we will be donating this card to Amy!

Ok, so I have an amazing job and super cool boss... who allows my kids to come to work with me. Damien is only there for the first hour, but 36 minuets into my day I find myself watching the clock...impatiently waiting for Mike to arrive.

Well, today was the first day of football practice for Mike. It was strange to be home alone with just little D. When my mom got home and I said... wanna go do something? So, we headed out for some cheese fries! Half priced Monday - Thursday! Awesome!!!!! D man like them too. :)

Mike and Memphis went to the Bee's Baseball game with Mike's friend Tim. They even got to see the fireworks and Memphis was well behaved and loved every minuet! :) The Bee's lost, but they all had a great time.

Time to drive home... already??? As we drove out of town, we made the must needed stop by Glendora's famous "Donut Man"!!! The drive home was about an hour shorter thanks to no long stops. We were also able make four trips to In N Out on our six day trip. Not bad, that should hold me over on cravings for a least a week or so!!!! :)

Today was SO hot. That is why I picked the first picture that I did. We were at this cute museum of trains and there we all our crowding in shade.

We also went to the Zoo and ended the evening with dinner in Jeanine's back yard. It was G double O D! :) Yum!

Day 1

Today was a free day. Some were at Disneyland, but after our long drive we could not imagine trying to get up early, get us and kids ready, then walk around all day long. Soooo we spent some time with my grandma, mom, sisters and cousin Lauren. We went to a little water park. The girls loved it!

I chose this picture because Kaylee has NO fear. This girl is a crack up! Cute Kaylee!

Whoa, It's about time I go ahead and update this project!

Today was the first day of our VA-Ca to Southern California. Shauna and I drove the 4 kids down all by ourselves. This was quite a ordeal. About 40 miles down the road one of the strollers started to come loose on the roof. You should have seen us out there on the side of freeway trying to secure it back on. Who needs the boys anyway???

Can I just say... How the H did our parents travel with out DVD players? LIFE SAVER! I could go the next 8 years without seeing Finding Nemo, but totally worth it! It was a long drive, but we did it... and that my friends is all that matters!

Today Memphis and I went up to Heber to hang out with Brett, Marie and the whole fam. Every year they do a fish fry. Years and years ago I can remember telling Brett I didn't like fish, but he told me to just try it... and I did. After I ate that piece I wanted another. I never knew I liked fish!!! So now if there is a fish fry I am there!!! I love Heber. I could live there. Brett's aunt and uncle have a large property so the kids can play without much concern. I found Memphis on this lawn mower and was having such a good time. I took some pictures and then I got a little closer... My child had taken half her diaper off and it was FULL. There was poop everywhere. I stripped her down and literally chased her with the hose. She spent the rest of the time up there in JUST a diaper. Total WT. Even better... I took her into Target in just that diaper to buy an outfit. So embarrassed! Brett awarded me the "mother of the year" award. Ummm, awesome?! I think! Ha ha!!! Despite all that, it was a fun day and the fish is just as good as I remember it.

It's a Skousen tradition! It's the Riverton Days Parade. Salt Water Taffy anyone? Yum! This is Kelly, Memphis, Kaelynne and Lindsay. Memphis loves these girls. :) After seeing Memphis with those tot spot chairs I know we really need to get her one. She LOVED it! The parade was fun. I took the kids by myself and even rode Mike's bike with the trailer. Can I just say... that is A LOT of work. Good exercise though. Nothing says the 4th of July, like a good parade!

Recently Memphis and I went to a Luau for my old boss Tim. It was his 50th surprise birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Mostly just hanging out and catching up with old friends. Memphis looked so cute in her little Hawaiian dress.
