So Mike has an addiction to those lameo crane machines. He kept coming home with a different stuffed animal every single day. (at least it seems that way to me) I thought that we were taking a rest from them, but no... today this ugly Stewie shows up and Memphis immediately starts to mother the ugly doll. This is when I am concerned about being at work while Mike is home. My child is playing with Stewie, said it ani't so!

Mission Friends
Jenilee and her cute fam came out to Utah for a whole month from New York. They haven't been home in two years, so needless to say it was so good to see her. Her mom threw together a picnic so she could sit and visit with all her friends.
Now that they live in Rochester, I think Mike and I need to plan a trip that way to go and check out Palmyra.
PS I look bald with my hair pulled back!

The Tale of Two Windshields
About 4 weeks ago I had my windshield replaced at work. Aww the convince of mobile windshields, right? When I drove it I noticed it sounded as if I had my window down. Umm, what? Unfortunately I didn't have time to have it fixed because I was headed to Oregon the very next morning. When I got back I tried going to the shop to have it looked at and ended up sitting in bay 2 for 20 minuets with out a single person coming to look at it. Like I have that kind of time. So I tried again the next day. This time it was fixed... or so they say. Not fixed. Ok, ok... so I call they set me up an appt at a different shop. They added more of that black glue crap and sent me on my way. Again... sounds as if I have the freakin' window down. RAGE RAGE RAGE. These installers are RETARDED! So now... I express my frustration to customer service and I am promised they will get me taken care of. This time me and the manager take a little ride so he can hear the quality of my install. He was shocked at how bad it was. He found the leak and filled it in. I have to admit it was so much better but on the drive to Manti anytime we got the car going 70 mph the sound of wind was ANNOYING!
So this time when I called I kindly asked if they would try again from scratch. They agreed. No more wind. YEA!!!!
Thank you to Jen for keeping me company on the phone every time I had to sit and wait. Total time of 5 hours spent waiting...
Thank you to the original installer for being so good at your job.

Mike said he didn't want to sit around all day SOOO we headed down with my mom, Uncle Cliff, Aunt Jeanette and Chelsea to Manti for the Mormon Miracle Pageant. Neither of us had ever been, so it was fun. The weather was kinda crazy with the off and on rain. Despite the rain we had a great time and it didn't rain AT ALL during the show. Anyway... regular post coming soon on our trip down there.
Today's picture is little Mem looking just like the lovable puss in boots from Shrek 2! She cracks me up!!!

If you are anything like our family... you visit the Little Caesars more than you would like to admit. I mean c'mon it's fast cheap and easy!!! What's not to like???
Today Chase and Kristi bought this Great Value Pizza from Wal-Mart. I am always a little leery of stuff like this but they insisted it was editable. One word: YUM!
To top it off, they are only $4.50. Give this pizza a try... you will not be disappointed.
PS: What do you think of the new Great Value logo?

Just cute Dame... being good at work.
Some days can be so hard having him there. Most days he is only there an hour or so and sometimes I count the last 54 minuets until Mike is there to save me and allow me to actually get something done. I cant complain too much, more often than not... he is a fun loving good boy!
I am so blessed!

Today's picture is borrowed from Heather's blog. This picture was taken at her "spit bath" baby shower. What I really should be posting is a picture of the food, right Karen?? :) There have been four Skousen babies added to the family since April. We were tying blankets for all the new babies. It was fun! Congrats to Heidi, Laurel, Karen, Heather and your four beautiful, healthy babies!

Our family all went to the Oquirrh Mountain temple. Of course we got there when the rain was at it's heaviest. Mike was feeling right at home. This is Chelsea. She is my cousins oldest daughter. She is great with all the little kids and they love her.
While we were there, Angel Moroni got struck by lighting. We will not be seeing this as a sign of any sort. Ha!!!!
Despite the crazy rain, it was a fun day!

Today Mike I and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary. I got off work a little early and we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. (hello, yummy rolls) and then we went to the Draper Temple. We got done pretty early and it was nice to kidless SOOO we went to Home Depot for some thing we needed for our new bike trailer. Exciting, huh? It was a fun night.
Oh yeah, after we came out of the Temple.... we drove around the area (pictured behind us). They were beauitful homes and it was sad to see so many of them unfinished and sitting vacant.

Today HAD to be a bonus picture day... because, lets be honest our lives are THAT exciting.
Chase and Kristi adopted a cute little kitten to go in their new house. At first Memphis was scared, but it didn't take her long to fall in love with the fur ball we call "Meg"! I don't think Meg feels same towards her, but we are very excited for Chase and Kristi. A house and a kitty? So fun!!!
Mike also found this bike/running stroller on KSL. Oh how we love ksl!!!! I never understood why a person would need "running" stroller, but after trying to run with our regular one--- I get it! :) It's been rainy so I haven't been able to give it a good test run, but I will! Oh, also mike got a bike for himself and we are fixing up the good ol mission bike for me! I have not sit on that thing once in 8 years!!!! Yea for family activities!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!! Brooklyn Marie Doney was born at 8:08 pm weighing in at 8 lbs and 10 oz (same as her mommy and me). Mike was so nice and let me be at the hospital with Heather while we waited for her to have her baby. For Heather it's always slow going until she hits a 5 then bam... baby time! People think we are crazy for not finding out what we are having, but it's so exciting on birth day! The anticipation is so much fun! Congrats to Heather, Dan and Fam! I am so excited for you guys! Welcome to your crazy, yet-- wonderful family Brooklyn... you are loved by so many!!!

If you know Mike, you know he is ALWAYS winning something on the radio. So far between the two of us we have won 10 tickets to the 3-11 concert. We are not going, so this picture was taken to put them up for sale on KSL. We still have 2 sets if you are interested. :)
Some of his other recent winnings include Green Day, Viva SLC and Ultimate Combat Experience.
I would LOVE to go to the Green Day concert, I am a HUGE fan--but it's on a Sunday, so we will not be going. :(
I guess we can just call Mike my little lucky charm. Now all he needs to do is win lots and lots of money?

Today was a long day. Back to work... stayed late. Came home watched the kids while Mike went to an eye appointment. Ate Cafe Rio (yum). Watched He's Just Not Into You. Haven't seen? I love it! I wasn't going to go running, but I am officially training for a 5k on the 4th of July so talk about motivation!!! Memi and busted out the shoes and the stroller and hit the street. It was a good run. :)

This is Justin. One of Mike's good friends from HS. He is another person we always make a point to see. So Justin and his son Derek met us downtown for some ice cream and we headed over to the arcade. So much fun! Can I just say arcades have changed a lot in the last 10 years. I had a lot of fun playing deal or no deal (winning tickets) and then there was this jump rope game... where you jump rope. I am sure I look so lame... but it was F U N and I could not get enough of it.
So in passing I told Mike and Justin they should recreate their basketball picture from 8th grade and much to my surprise---they were game!
Such a great picture.
Thanks for playing Justin! Hope Derek isn't really trying to spend his $100 bills. Ha ha!!!!

Today we flew into Oregon. Mike's family actually lives about two hours from Portland so before we headed out to the coast we had dinner with some family friends of the Smiths. It's Linda's best friends Christy. Christy couldn't actually come but we got to see her girls. Jenna and Lilly! We had dinner and then went to Jamba Juice to see Christy's other daughter Aubree. They are so much fun-- a trip to Oregon just is not complete with out seeing them. :)
Oh so todays picture was taken in Jamba juice... it made me laugh out loud, because serioulsy who has not heard this at least once in their life time???
I am adding pictures of the girls... just so you can know who I am talking about.

Well, as you know from my previous post... Memphis isn't loving bed time. She is getting so much better but it's not uncommon to find her VERY quietly sitting on the stairs. So I was headed up to stairs to take a shower and found Memphis totally out.
Two nights before we found her here...
